Renu Desai reacts to abusive social media comments
HYDERABAD: Actor Renu Desai responded to abusive language used against her on social media platforms, stating that such behaviour will not be tolerated.
She said six individuals who posted objectionable comments about her have already been arrested. She added that more action could follow if similar incidents continue.
Online abuse for fame under scrutiny
Desai said some users post abusive videos and comments on others to gain followers and visibility on social media. She said such actions are unacceptable and should not be normalised.
She added that using digital platforms to target individuals with offensive content reflects misuse of social media.

Police action and wider consequences
Desai said police will take action against those involved in such behaviour. She added that authorities would also inform the families and workplaces of the individuals concerned.
She warned that those engaging in online abuse should be prepared to face legal consequences.
