Rayadurgam police seize 17 kg ganja, MDMA

HYDERABAD: Police have intensified action against ganja supply in the state, warning that strict measures will be taken against those involved in selling or buying narcotics. Despite repeated enforcement drives, illegal supply continues to pose a challenge for law enforcement.

IT professionals targeted by drug peddlers

In a major seizure, Rayadurgam police recovered a large quantity of ganja following a coordinated operation. Investigators found that IT professionals were being specifically targeted for drug supply.

Accused sourced ganja from Maharashtra

Acting on specific inputs, Madhapur Special Operations Team police detained a man identified as Sohail. Police seized 17 kg of ganja and 2 grams of MDMA from his possession.

During interrogation, Sohail told police that he procured ganja from Nanded in Maharashtra and supplied it to IT employees in Hyderabad. Police also detained five consumers who allegedly purchased and used ganja along with the accused.

Rayadurgam police registered a case and have launched a detailed investigation.
