Hyderabad: Popular actor Rashmika Mandanna, known for her roles in Animal and Pushpa movies, has been appointed as the National Ambassador for Promoting Cyber Safety by the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs. This initiative aims to raise awareness about cybercrime and enhance digital security across the nation.

In a message on her official Instagram account, Rashmika expressed her commitment to the cause. “Cybercrime is a dangerous and pervasive threat that affects individuals, businesses, and communities worldwide. As someone who has experienced this firsthand, I am dedicated to raising awareness about these issues and promoting the message of cyber safety to drive positive change. It is crucial that we come together to combat these threats and protect our digital spaces,” she stated.

Commenting on her experience, she added, “Last year, my deepfake AI video circulated widely on social media. After that incident, I decided to take a stand against cybercrime and spread awareness. I am proud to announce my appointment as the brand ambassador for promoting cyber safety. Cybercriminals will target us, and we must remain vigilant to protect ourselves. Let’s fight together and ensure safety for everyone.”

As someone who’s experienced its impact, I believe it’s time for stricter measures to protect our online world. Let’s unite to build a safer cyberspace for ourselves and future generations.
