Rangareddy farmer’s ₹35 lakh harvester gutted in midnight fire

HYDERABAD: A harvester worth about ₹35 lakh belonging to a farmer was destroyed in a fire at Aspalliguda village in Shabad mandal of Rangareddy district.
The machine, owned by Shankar, had been parked near his agricultural field. According to locals, it caught fire suddenly during the night and was completely gutted.
Machine parked for a month destroyed overnight
The harvester had reportedly been stationed at the same spot for nearly a month. However, the vehicle caught fire around midnight on Saturday night, raising suspicion about the cause of the blaze.
Villagers said the machine was fully damaged before anyone could control the fire.
Police begin inquiry after complaint
Following a complaint from the farmer, police registered a case and started an inquiry into the incident. Officials said they are examining whether the fire was accidental or deliberate.
