SANGAREDDY: HYDRAA Commissioner A V Ranganath conducted a field inspection into complaints received through Prajavani in Patighanpur village of Patancheru mandal.

He examined alleged encroachments on roads, parks, and land earmarked for public use in Anand Nagar layout.

Layout approved with 1,109 plots on 92 acres

Officials said the layout was approved by the gram panchayat in 1980, covering 92 acres with 1,109 plots. Some plots in the layout were also granted Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS) approvals.

Complainants alleged that the layout boundaries were erased and the land was shown as agricultural land under the name Anand Nagar Colony.

Residents allege misuse of Dharani for land grabbing

Residents told the commissioner that passbooks were generated through the Dharani portal and used for illegal occupation of the land.

A large number of affected plot owners attended the inspection and explained the nature of encroachments.

Ranganath directed officials to identify parks and roads as per the approved layout and remove encroachments.
