Ramanthapur excise team seizes 3 kg ganja

HYDERABAD: The Ranga Reddy Enforcement A Team and Uppal Excise Station officials seized 3.495 kg of ganja in two separate cases in Ramanthapur and arrested two persons, officials said on Wednesday.
Assistant Commissioner R Kishan said the accused were handed over to Uppal Excise Station along with the seized contraband.
Accused allegedly sourced ganja from Odisha
In the first case, officials raided Gokul Nagar in Ramanthapur and arrested Kaushik, identified as Bucchilla Kaushik. Officials alleged that he procured ganja from Odisha and sold it locally.
Based on specific information, Enforcement A Team circle inspectors Balaraju and Chandrasekhar, along with head constable Bikshapathi and constables Rakesh, Balu Naik, Shilpa, Don and Sai, conducted inspections and seized 2.46 kg of ganja from his possession.
Separate seizure made in RTC Colony
In another case, officials seized 1.035 kg of ganja from Praveen, identified as Namelli Velthi Praveen, at RTC Colony in Ramanthapur.
Both accused were arrested and produced before Uppal Excise Station officials, Assistant Commissioner Kishan added.
