Ram Charan suffers eye injury on Peddi set
HYDERABAD: Actor Ram Charan sustained an injury while shooting for the film Peddi. The incident occurred during filming in Hyderabad.
Actor Chiranjeevi said in a social media post that Charan underwent a minor eye surgery. He thanked the doctors who treated him.
“Thank you for performing the surgery on Charan’s eyelid at the right time with skill. We were initially worried, but your words removed our fear and gave us confidence,” he said.
Chiranjeevi added that the family would remain grateful to the doctors who treated Charan.
Fans, reacting to the update, posted messages on social media wishing the actor a quick recovery.
Film shoot underway in Hyderabad
Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu, is currently under production. The shooting was progressing in Hyderabad when the injury occurred.
After a few days of rest, Ram Charan is expected to rejoin the shoot.
The film also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu and Boman Irani. Music is composed by A R Rahman.
The film is scheduled for release on April 30.
