Hyderabad police warn rowdy sheeters against repeat offences

HYDERABAD: Rakshitha Krishna Murthy, Deputy Commissioner of Police, on January 28 conducted a special counselling session for active and inactive rowdy sheeters in the Secunderabad Zone as part of preventive policing efforts.

Rowdy sheeters from all stations attend

Rowdy sheeters from all police stations under the Secunderabad Zone were summoned to the DCP office premises at Amberpet for the session. Assistant Commissioners of Police and Station House Officers from across the zone were present.

Warning against criminal activities

The DCP warned that involvement in criminal activities, land settlements or intimidation of the public would invite strict action. She said repeat offences would lead to stringent legal measures, including action under the Preventive Detention Act.

Call for reform and lawful conduct

Along with the warning, the DCP urged the individuals to reform, integrate into society as law-abiding citizens and avoid unlawful associations. Police said the initiative was aimed at strengthening preventive policing and enhancing public safety in the Secunderabad Zone.

The session was organised by the Amberpet police station.
