Rajya Sabha election schedule released; two Telangana seats due

Telangana: The Election Commission of India has released the schedule for the Rajya Sabha elections. The tenure of 37 Rajya Sabha members from 10 states will end in April this year.
The commission will issue the notification on February 26. The last date for filing nominations is March 5, and withdrawals can be made till March 9. Polling will be held on March 16 from 9 am to 4 pm, and the results will be declared the same day.
KR Suresh Reddy, Abhishek Singhvi terms end April 9
Two Rajya Sabha seats from Telangana will fall vacant. The terms of KR Suren Reddy and Abhishek Singhvi (Indian National Congress) will end on April 9.
Elections will be held to fill these two seats.
