Rajamouli renews international driving license at Khairatabad RTO ahead of SSMB29 shoot
Hyderabad: Film director S.S. Rajamouli visited the Khairatabad Regional Transport Office (RTO) to renew his international driving license on Thursday, April 24, 2025. The visit comes ahead of the overseas shoot for his upcoming film with actor Mahesh Babu, currently referred to as SSMB29.
According to the sources, Rajamouli completed the formalities, including signing documents and getting his photo taken. The renewed license was then handed over to him.
The Telugu-language action-adventure film is being directed by Rajamouli and co-written with V. Vijayendra Prasad. It is produced by K.L. Narayana under the Sri Durga Arts banner. The film stars Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Priyanka Chopra, and Jisshu Sengupta. Filming began in February 2025 in Hyderabad.
With a reported budget of ₹1,000 crore (around USD 120 million), it is expected to be the most expensive Indian film to date.
Priyanka Chopra plays the female lead, marking her return to Indian films after The Sky Is Pink (2019). This is her first project with both Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu. Prithviraj Sukumaran joins the cast in a leading role after appearing in Telugu films Police Police (2010) and Salaar (2023).
