Raja Singh served notice ahead of Biloli meet, warned against communal remarks

Hyderabad : The Maharashtra Police on April 4 issued a notice to T Raja Singh, directing him to avoid statements that could disturb communal harmony during a public gathering in Biloli.
Police flag risk of public disorder during event
The notice, issued by the Biloli police, cited concerns that Singh’s presence at the Ram Navami event could lead to a “disturbance of public order, breach of peace, or hurt the religious sentiments of other communities”.
The MLA was scheduled to address the gathering at 18.00 IST. Authorities said prohibitory orders were already in force within the jurisdiction of the Biloli police station, following directions from the Nanded district magistrate.
Slurs listed in warning against inflammatory speech
Police specifically warned Singh against using expressions such as “mulla”, “lando”, “Aurangzeb ke aullado” and “katve”, stating such remarks could incite violence.
The notice instructed him to refrain from making inflammatory or derogatory comments related to religion, caste, community, historical figures or traditions. It also directed him to avoid any act that could create enmity between groups.
Authorities permitted Singh to remain within Biloli limits only for the duration of the meeting and asked him to leave immediately after. They added that any violation would invite legal action.
Singh terms notice ‘unfortunate’, questions intent
Reacting to the notice, Singh, a former leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, termed the move “extremely unfortunate”.
In a social media post, he questioned the state leadership, asking whether such notices were appropriate for meetings aimed at “spreading awareness about Hindutva and uniting Hindus”.
“Expressing views and raising awareness is a right of every citizen in a democratic system. This kind of action seems highly concerning and unfortunate,” he said.
