Raj Pakala’s Family Denies Rave Party

Hyderabad: The family of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KTR’s brother-in-law Raj Pakala has strongly reacted to the allegations of “rave party” held at Janwada farmhouse. They said a section of the media has wrongly reported a party for Pakala family members at his house as a “rave party”. They added that the party was not hosted at any farm house.

The party was attended by the family members whose age group is 2 to 70 years and the party was unfortunately termed as a “rave party”, the family statement said. It also said that there is no truth in the “excessive foreign liquor” at the party. According to the police findings (panchnama), these are duty-free liquor bottles.

The statement further claimed that the police had not just caused severe mental distress to the women and children by recording the party scene but leaked the video content to the ruling Congress, and their members widely shared it on various social media platforms. They wondered if it was wrong to celebrate with family in the confines of a house.

The statement added that the BJP leaders’ swift reaction to the development has been shocking. They have reacted to it even before the Congress and police. The chief minister should take KTR head-on politically and desist from resorting to such cheap politics.

Meanwhile, senior BRS leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav said the incident is being blown out of proportion because Raj Pakala is related to KTR. He claimed the police officials attempted to search the residence of Pakala without a search warrant. He added that some forces are conspiring to blame the family of KTR, which was not present at the party. Earlier, addressing a press conference, BRS MLAs KP Vivekanand, Dr. K. Sanjay, G. Srinivas Yadav, and Satish Reddy termed the allegations a part of the “government’s attempt to divert people’s attention from its failure to honour the poll promises.”
