Zero tolerance: Rachakonda police seal Srirastu Bar & Restaurant, after techie sexual assault
LB Nagar: Rachakonda police Commissioner Sudheer Babu issued orders to close Srirastu Bar and Restaurant and Hotel (Bommarillu Complex) for causing inconvenience to the public. It is the same Hoetl where 24-year-old software employee was raped by two accused on 30, July.
As per the orders of Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kandukuru, Rangareddy Dist on the request of SHO Vanasthalipuram, CP Sudheerbabu issued orders to close Srirastu Bar & Restaurant and Hotel Premises (Bommarillu Complex) which is located at 9/FF, Yashodara Nagar Colony, Omkar Nagar, Bairamalguda, Near Sagar Road, Sarurnagar Mandal, Rangareddy District) for indiscriminately allowing customers to consume liquor and stay in the rooms day and night, and for encouraging illegal activities, and also indirectly causing rape and causing inconvenience to the local people.
It is pertinent to note that on July 30, one of the accused Yadla Gowtham Reddy took the victim who is childhood friend to Bommarillu (Srirastu) Bar and Restaurant, Omkarnagar, Vanasthalipuram under the guise of treat, as she got software job in Amazon, Gachibowli.
Subsequently the accused Yadla Gowtham Reddy served four vodka shots to the victim forcibly. On that occasion, the victim fell unconscious. Taking this an opportunity the accused took her to a Room in the same hotel and had sexual intercourse with the victim. Further he informed his friend Shivaji Reddy alias Chintu Reddy who reached the hotel. After that,Shivaji reddy forced himself on her. After the victim gained consciousness and made hue and cries she was rescued. Vanasthalipuram police arrested the accused and sent them to judicial custody.
Rachakonda commissioner Sudheer Babu has warned that those who cause inconvenience to the general public, those who indulge in unlawful activities and illegal activities, those who encourage antisocial activities in hotels, bars & restaurants and other premises, will not be spared under any circumstances.
The Commissioner further reiterated that Rachakonda Commissionerate Police are working tirelessly to maintain peace and security and to avoid any trouble to the common people in the Commissionerate.
