Rachakonda Police launch free medical camp for senior citizens

HYDERABAD: Ignoring elderly family members amounts to an offence, G. Sudheer Babu, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Police, said on Wednesday. He said the police would continue to work for the health and welfare of senior citizens in the commissionerate limits.
As part of the ‘Golden Care’ programme, Rachakonda Police and the Rachakonda Security Council inaugurated a free medical camp for senior citizens at Kushaiguda.
Doctors from Solis, Gemcare Poulomi, Solis and Saujanya hospitals B. Rakesh Kumar, Josna Devi, Tarun and Lakshmi Monica examined 244 elderly persons and distributed medicines.
Deputy Commissioners of Police C.H. Sridhar, Usha Rani and N. Venkata Ramana, Assistant Commissioners of Police Y. Venkata Reddy and Venkateshwarlu, members of the Security Council, inspectors, sub-inspectors and representatives of the Kushaiguda Community Care Centre and Central Crime Station took part.
