Vanasthalipuram: Rachakonda police busted two drug peddling rackets and arrested five men in connection with the two different cases on Tuesday. In one case the accused were smuggling MDMA drugs and in another case Hash oil was being smuggled.

In the first case, the sleuths of Special operation team(SOT), LB Nagar Zone team along with Vanasthalipuram police apprehended two interstate drug peddlers and a consumer.

The two drug peddlers were identified as Attapuram Bharath Reddy and Chikyala Wickyath. According to the police, the accused Attapuram Bharath Reddy, Wickyath are close friends. They were addicted to drugs, as there is a huge demand for drugs, they decided to purchase the MDMA drug from Bengaluru at cheap rate Rs. 1200/gram and sell the same to needy customers for higher price Rs. 4,000 to 5,000 per gram to get easy money.

As per their plan, they contacted their sources at Bengaluru and purchased about 26 grams of MDMA drug at Rs.1200 each gram. On June 16 at about evening hours, they reached Hyderabad along with MDMA drug packets and stored them in the house of Wickyath.
The following day during late night while they were selling MDMA drug to a customer Tanneru Hemanth Kumar, Police got information and apprehended the accused and seized the contraband.

Second Case: Hash Oil smuggled

In the second case, the sleuths of Special operation team(SOT), LB Nagar Zone team along with Bhongir police apprehended two interstate drug peddlers and a consumer.

The drug peddlers were identified as Perusamula Dinesh, Amarthaluri Honest, and Tallapally Bharani.

According to the police, the accused persons Perusamula Dinesh, Amarthaluri Honest and Tallapally Bharani are friends, they were addicted to Ganja and Hash Oil. They hatched a plan of procuring Hash Oil at cheap rate and sell it to needy customers for a huge price and can earn easy money to meet their lavish lifestyle. Accordingly all the three accused went to Narsipatnam of Vishakapatnam, Andhra pradesh state in a car purchased two liters of Hash Oil from their known sources at Rs. 50,000 per liter and returned to Hyderabad.

Enroute on Monday late night they were intercepted by the SOT LB Nagar Zone team along with Bhongir Rural police apprehended the accused persons at Anajipuram cross road and seized two litres of Hash Oil.

“In both the cases Special teams have been formed to apprehend the sources and also to identify the consumers for taking necessary legal action. All the accused pertaining to these two cases are being produced in the court for judicial remand,” said Rachakonda police commissioner DR Tarun Joshi.
