Secunderabad: Rachakonda police disposed, narcotic drugs seized in 106 drug cases over last year, worth five crores on Monday.

Further Rachakonda police listed out the drug and its quantity disposed through incinerate- 3484.4 Kgs of Ganja, 402.5 Kgs of Opium poppy straw (powder), 14 grams of Ecstasy Pills (MDMA Psychotropic Substance), 3.5 Kgs of Hashish Oil, 45 grams of Mephedrone, a Psychotropic Substance, 958 grams of Charas and 100 grams of ganja chocolates. All the drugs valued at Rs. 5.03 crores.

In the last year 106 Cases were registered in 23 Police Stations of Rachakonda, 3891.8 kgs of Narcotic substances were seized from accused possession.

In accordance with the priorities of NDPS act and the government orders(GO)’s, guidelines issued by the government, TGANB, in Rachakonda police commissionerate, Dr. Tarun Joshi, formed a drug Disposal Committee. This Committee under Chairmanship Praveen Kumar, DCP L.B.Nagar and Members P. Indira DCP Admin, S. Chakrapani, ACP Malkajgiri Division, and J. Ramesh Kumar ACP CCRB, all from Rachakonda commissionerate supervised the process.

Under the close supervision of the Commissioner of Police Rachakonda Dr. Tarun Joshi and Drug Disposal Committee destroyed the 3891.8 Kgs of seized Narcotic substance under various cases registered at 23 police stations of Rachakonda commissionerate was disposed through incineration process at Common Bio-medical Waste treatment facilities (CBMWTF) at Sy.No- 103, Thukkapur village of Yadadri Bhongir District and following the environmental pollution control rules with permission from supervising officers and court.

“Secret teams are also formed to catch those who are engaged in the illegal transport, consumption, manufacturing cases would also be registered against those who were addicted to drugs, consumption of Ganja. We were working hard for Drug-Free Telangana,” said Rachakonda police in an official statement.
