Quthbullapur road works leave motorists without directions
HYDERABAD: Road expansion works near Vishwakarma Colony in Suraram are causing trouble for motorists heading towards Bowrampet, Shambipur, IDA Bollaram and Miyapur.
The work site has no signs showing an alternative route. As a result, motorists often travel about two km before turning back to find another route.
Locals urged the authorities and contractor to improve traffic management. They also sought clear signboards and warning notices near the work site.
Activist puts up signs
Ravinder Mudiraj noticed the difficulties faced by motorists and stepped in to help. He installed three direction banners at his own expense to show an alternative route.
Motorists urged the authorities to act quickly and ease the difficulties faced by commuters.
