Python spotted crossing walking track at KBR National Park
HYDERABAD: A giant python, estimated to be about 20 feet long, was spotted inside KBR National Park in Banjara Hills on Saturday morning, surprising walkers during their regular stroll.
The snake took several minutes to cross one of the park’s walking tracks, prompting many visitors to stop and watch. Several walkers recorded the sighting on their mobile phones as the reptile slowly moved across the trail.
The incident drew attention to the rich biodiversity that continues to thrive within the protected urban forest. KBR National Park is home to a variety of wildlife, including reptiles, birds and small mammals, despite being surrounded by dense urban development.
Forest officials have repeatedly advised visitors not to disturb wild animals and to maintain a safe distance if they encounter wildlife inside the park. Saturday’s sighting served as a reminder that the protected area remains an active habitat for native species.
