Prez Murmu to kick-off Bharathiya Kala Mahotsav in Hyderabad on Sep 28
Hyderabad: President of India Draupadi Murmu is visiting Hyderabad on September 28, Saturday. She will attend the convocation of NALSAR University. Later, she will inaugurate the Bharathiya Kala Mahotsav at the Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bolarum.
A total of 50 gold medals will be given to meritorious candidates at the convocation ceremony. During the convocation, degrees in LLM, BA LLB honours, MBA, and other courses will also be awarded to the candidates.
NALSAR University of Law Chancellor Alok Aradhe will preside over the 21st annual convocation. Chief guest President Draupadi Murmu will deliver the convocation address. The convocation ceremony will also be attended by Governor Jishnu Dev Verma, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Supreme Court Judge Justice PS Narasimha.
Subsequently, President Murmu will head to Rashtrapati Nilayam where she will kick off the Bharathiya Kala Mahotsav. The 8-day long event will conclude on October 6.
The inaugural edition of Bharathiya Kala Mahotsav is a result of Rashtrapati Nilayam’s collaboration with the Ministry of Development of North-East Region and the Ministry of Culture.
Bharathiya Kala Mahotsav – a kaleidoscope of NE states culture
Bharathiya Kala Mahotsav provides an opportunity to the Hyderabadi residents to know the rich and diverse culture of the people of North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura (nicknamed as Seven Sisters) and Sikkim (brother). There’s no entrance fee for the 8-day long event, however, visitors have been advised to book their slot by visiting the government website.
