President Draupadi Murmu arrives in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: President Draupadi Murmu arrived at the Hakimpet Air Force Station on Tuesday afternoon for her winter break.
She was received at the air force station by Telangana deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers Seethakka and Sridhar Babu, chief secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and director general of police Shivadhar Reddy.
Traffic curbs announced across city
In view of the President’s visit, Hyderabad traffic police have imposed restrictions and diversions in several areas from December 17 to 22. Vehicular diversions will be in place in and around Hakimpet, Bolarum, Alwal, Tirumalagiri and Karkhana.
President to inaugurate national conference
On December 19 at 11 am, the President will inaugurate the All India Public Service Commissioners’ National Conference in Hyderabad.
Earlier, chief secretary K Ramakrishna Rao said President Murmu will stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Hyderabad from December 17 to 21 as part of her winter vacation. He said arrangements are being made at the Nilayam.
The chief secretary directed officials to deploy special teams under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to address the monkey menace in the surroundings of Rashtrapati Nilayam and to take advance measures to prevent issues related to honeybees.
