Prabhas’ ‘The Raja Saab’ trailer 2.0 teases dark family secrets

HYDERABAD: Excitement is reaching a fever pitch for Rebel Star Prabhas’s much-awaited film, “The Raja Saab,” as the electrifying Trailer 2.0 drops. Brimming with suspense, opulence, and unexpected turns, the trailer plunges viewers into a one-of-a-kind horror-comedy world, setting the stage for a festive season blockbuster.
Directed by Maruthi and produced on a lavish scale by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad of People Media Factory, the film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on January 9, timed to double the festive excitement of Sankranti.
The new trailer unravels a compelling family mystery. It introduces Gangamma (Zarina Wahab), who loves her grandson, Raja Saab (Prabhas), but lives a simple middle-class life, hiding a grand past as Gangadevi, the zamindar of Devanagara. Though her memory fades, she never forgets her husband, a mysterious and formidable figure played by Sanjay Dutt.
Driven by this enigma, Raja Saab embarks on a perilous mission to meet his elusive grandfather. He enters a massive, maze-like haveli, rigged with meticulously designed traps and dangers. With Sanjay Dutt’s character wielding hypnotism and control over dark forces, the trailer teases an intense cat-and-mouse game within the haunted estate.
The trailer leaves viewers on the edge of their seats, pondering: Can Raja Saab outsmart the deadly puzzles? Will he fulfill his quest? And what hidden truths connect Gangamma’s past with her present?
Prabhas shines in dual avatars
A standout feature of the trailer is Prabhas’s commanding performance, as he seamlessly transforms between two striking personas. The star-studded ensemble of Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Boman Irani infuses the film with both depth and glamour.
Director Maruthi, recognized for his commercially successful films, presents a visually impressive production. The trailer highlights production design by Rajeevan, visual effects, and cinematography by Karthik Palani.
