Hyderabad: Residents have raised concerns over the state of cleanliness at the Kandukur Sub-Registrar office, located in the suburban village of Kandukur, on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Complaints include reports of people urinating in the premises and used garbage scattered around, despite a dustbin being provided.

The issue was highlighted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by Hi Secunderabad!! (@ApnaSecbad), who shared their experience, “Had to visit Kandukur sub-registrar office for some work. Such a shabby place. People peeing everywhere inside the premises. Paper cups, used stationery discarded everywhere. The main gate cannot be closed, ever; whoever did the job has to be commended.”

In a follow-up post, they further expressed dissatisfaction with the state of the office, saying “No matter what your social status is, nothing can make you feel anymore ‘low in life’ after visiting these offices. You are at the mercy and instructions of the lowest level staff there. The MRO or Tahsildar or Registrar is doing you a favour by getting your property registered.”

Other users joined in, sharing similar grievances. Vrijilesh Rai (@ChaiBiskutBhai) commented: “All registration offices, without any exception (at least in and around Hyd) are in bad condition. No parking, no proper approach, old rusted/torn signboards, no proper seating, non-existent interiors, unhelpful and corrupt staff, faulty equipment, and touts ruling the scene.”

Another user, Kris_1983 (@NewYearProfile), added, “Every registrar office is in poor condition. Have you seen the Ameerpet one? That serves Banjara Hills/Jubilee Hills area.”

Maxdeepmax (@TheSambhav) reflected on the issue, “Sad state of most public/government offices in our country.”

In response to the situation, Naidu Nallari (@NallariNaidu) tagged Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, urging attention to the problem, “@revanth_anumula this is the state of affairs in Telangana.”

Public response has been mixed, with many expressing concerns that if a government office such as the Kandukur Sub-Registrar office is in such a condition, it raises questions about the state of other public spaces.
