Plaint against Allu Arjun over calling fans as “Allu Army”

complaint against Allu Arjun

Hyderabad: Amid the craze for Allu Arjun’s upcoming film “Pushpa 2: The Rule” is at its peak, a police complaint has been filed against Tollywood actor over the usage of “Army” in his recent speech.

The complaint was lodged at Jawahar Nagar Police Station in Hyderabad. In his complaint, Bhairi Srinivas Goud, the president of the Green Peace Environment and Water Harvesting Foundation, objected to the use of “Army” for the fanbase. He said “Army” is an honourable word specifically used for the armed forces who are serving the country and it is inappropriate to use it to describe “fans.”

Recently, the Pushpa 2 team held a grand pre-release event in Kochi. The actor was mobbed by the Malayalam fans upon his arrival in the city. Pusha star was humbled by the relentless support he has received from the Malayalam fans for two decades.

Speaking at the event, Allu Arjun said, “ Thank you for all the love for your adopted son, Mallu Arjun (he’s fondly referred to as Mallu Arjun in Kerala).”

He also said that the Malayali fans have been showering him with unprecedented love since Arya (2004). “You know, why do I call my fans an army? It is because of the Kerala fans”
