Pedda Amberpet STF Seizes 102 kg Ganja

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Excise State Task Force seized 102 kg of ganja worth about ₹10 lakh during an operation near Pedda Amberpet in Rangareddy district. Officials intercepted a car while it was entering the Outer Ring Road (ORR).

Contraband meant for Pune

A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of the contraband. Officials said the accused was transporting the ganja from the Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB) region to Pune. The accused and the seized contraband were taken into custody for further legal action.

Probe reveals use of multiple number plates

During the inquiry, officials found that the accused had allegedly used vehicle registration number plates from different states to avoid police surveillance while transporting the consignment. Further investigation is under way to identify others involved in the smuggling network.
