HYDERABAD: Burglars broke into two houses in the Sadashiva Greater Community at Pedda Amberpet under Hayathnagar police station limits, stealing valuables worth several lakh rupees.

According to police, the offenders forced open central locks on the doors and ransacked two adjacent homes. They reportedly stole around 5 kg of silver articles, 35 grams of gold ornaments, ₹60,000 in cash, and expensive sarees.

The burglary, which occurred late Saturday night, was captured on CCTV cameras installed in the community. Police teams are analysing the footage to identify the suspects.

Residents expressed concern over the theft in what they described as a “high-security” gated community. They urged police to strengthen night patrolling in the area.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, police said.
