Pawan Kalyan undergoes surgery, advised rest

Hyderabad : Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan underwent surgery on Saturday evening, MLC P. Hariprasad said in a statement.
He said Pawan Kalyan fell seriously ill on Friday morning while discussing administrative matters with officials. The MLC added that the Deputy Chief Minister had been facing health issues for the past few months.
Acting on the advice of his personal doctors, Pawan Kalyan cancelled his official engagements scheduled for Friday and went to a hospital. Doctors conducted medical tests, including an MRI scan.
After reviewing the reports, doctors decided to perform surgery, which was carried out on Saturday evening, Hariprasad said.
Doctors have advised that Pawan Kalyan can resume official duties after a rest period of seven to ten days. However, they noted that he will need to take precautions over a longer period and that full recovery may take time.
