Pawan Kalyan backs BJP, agrees to campaign in Telangana municipal polls

HYDERABAD: Jana Sena Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Monday expressed support for the Bharatiya Janata Party and agreed to campaign for the party in the upcoming Municipal Elections in Telangana.
The assurance came during a meeting with G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Coal and Mines, where leaders held what was described as wide-ranging discussions on political and organisational issues, including the Telangana civic polls.
According to a statement shared on social media, Pawan Kalyan conveyed his full backing to the BJP’s campaign in Telangana and consented to take part in electioneering for the party. The interaction was projected as a signal of growing coordination between the two parties ahead of the local body elections.
The meeting underscored the BJP’s efforts to strengthen alliances and expand its footprint in Telangana’s urban local bodies, party leaders said.
