Pat Cummins showers praise on Hyderabad cricket fans
Recalling his stint with the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL), Australian captain Pat Cummins said the love showered on him by Hyderabad fans is unforgettable. He was all praise for the passionate fans of the City of Nizams.
This year’s IPL seemed crazy in Hyderabad as the love and admiration of local fans was on a different level. I have never experienced that level of fandom before as I have played so little in the IPL. It is wonderful to have an entire city behind us, Cummins stated.
Recently, the Australian pace spearhead drew flak for skipping the Pakistan match to attend a Coldplay concert. The Mohammad Rizwan-led side thrashed Aussies at home for the first time in 22 years. The hosts surrendered an ODI series to Pakistan after an eight-wicket loss to the Asian side in the third ODI at Perth. In view of the Border Gavaskar Trophy starting on November 22, Cricket Australia rested several top Aussie players.
