Police test lawyer at Panjagutta station
HYDERABAD: A tense situation unfolded at the Panjagutta police station in Hyderabad during proceedings related to singer Mangli’s case.
An advocate who accompanied the victims was subjected to an alcohol test by police. Officers conducted a breath analyser test on suspicion that the lawyer had consumed alcohol. The reading was recorded at 27.

While the reading falls within the permissible limit for driving, police objected to the advocate visiting the station after consuming alcohol.
Lawyers protest police conduct
The police action has drawn strong objections from members of the legal fraternity, who protested against the manner in which the test was conducted at the police station.
