Singer Pravasthi accuses Paadutha Teeyaga judges of bias and bodyshaming

Hyderabad: Young singer Pravasthi Aradhya, who appeared on the popular Telugu singing reality show Paadutha Teeyaga, has sparked a controversy with her sensational revelations about her unpleasant experience on the show.
In a video statement, Pravasthi claimed that she was subjected to discrimination, humiliation, and mental harassment during her time on the show.
“In the recent episode, I was eliminated. Some might think I’m speaking up now because I got eliminated,” she can be heard saying in the viral video.
Pravasthi accused the judges of favoring some contestants while being unfair to others. “Lyricist Chandrabose appreciated my performance, but in one instance, I was unfairly blamed despite making no mistake. Others were spared even after errors. Songs composed by Keeravani received higher marks from the judges,” she said.
The young singer further said that when she revealed that she had sung songs at wedding ceremonies due to her family’s financial situation, “Keeravani (reportedly) remarked that those who sing wedding songs aren’t real singers. He said he feels disgusted seeing such singers. How can someone of his stature speak like that?” Pravasti asked.
Pravasthi alleged that the production team bodyshamed her for her weight. “They would say, ‘How can we give you good outfits if you look like this?”
She added that singer Sunitha treated her badly. She would insult her on her face and make stage appearances traumatic. So far, the singing reality show’s producers or judges have not commented on the accusations.
