1. Horam Hara

Released on July 11, 2024, on the Aha OTT platform, “Horam Hara” is a Telugu action drama directed by Gnanasagar Dwaraka. The film stars Sudheer Babu and Malvika Sharma, and it made its theatrical debut on June 14, 2024. Despite its promising premise, “Horam Hara” garnered mixed-to-negative reviews from critics.

2. Maharaja

“Maharaja,” an Indian Tamil-language action thriller, premiered on Netflix on July 12, 2024. Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the film features Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role alongside a talented cast, including Anurag Kashyap and Mamta Mohandas. Released theatrically on June 14, 2024, it received positive reviews and achieved the highest opening weekend for a Tamil film this year, emerging as the highest-grossing Tamil film in 2024.

3. Satyabhama

The Telugu crime thriller “Satyabhama,” featuring Kajal Aggarwal and Naveen Chandra, was released on Amazon Prime Video on June 28, 2024. Directed by Suman Chikkala, the film had its theatrical release on June 7, 2024. Satyabhama follows a dedicated police officer in Hyderabad who unravels secrets while pursuing justice amid personal and professional challenges. Unfortunately, Satyabhama was labeled a box office bomb, failing to resonate with audiences.

4. Market Mahalakshmi

“Market Mahalakshmi” is a Telugu comedy-drama premiered on the Aha OTT platform on July 4, 2024. Directed by VS Mukkhesh, the film stars Parvateesam and Praneeka Anvikaa. The movie’s plot centers around a young man who pursues a self-employed street vendor, using various approaches to win her over and convince her to marry him despite their differences. While it aimed to bring a lighthearted touch to recent releases, it has received poor reviews. The lackluster feedback suggests that it struggled to connect with audiences.
