Osmania University alumni, A Sridhar takes charge as SCR Chief PRO

Hyderabad : The South Central Railways (SCR) got a new Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO) on Tuesday. The new CPRO, A. Sridhar has taken charge as Chief Public Relations Officer, South Central Railway at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad.
According to the official information released by the South Central Railways, Sridhar belongs to the 2011 batch of Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS). Prior to the new assignment, he was serving as Deputy General Manager (G), South Central Railway. He succeeds Ch. Rakesh, who has joined as Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer (Traffic & RPF), SCR.
Further it is to be noted that A. Sridhar holds a M.A degree from the prestigious Osmania University, located in Tarnaka.
Sridhar started his career on Indian Railways as Area Officer at Bhadrachalam, Secunderabad Division of SCR. He went on to hold various posts such as Area Officer, Ramagundam, Divisional Commercial Manager, Hyderabad & Secunderabad Divisions, Divisional Operations Manager, Secunderabad Division, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Hyderabad Division, Senior Divisional Operations Manager, Nanded Division and Deputy Chief Operations Manager, Planning & FOIS, SCR.
Further, Sridhar is also the recipient of the General Manager’s Award, 2022 for the outstanding performance in officer’s category. A stickler for perfection, A. Sridhar carries a positive outlook and is inclined towards innovative working practices.
SCR announces special trains
On another note, the South Central Railways has also announced special trains between running to and fro from Hyderabad – Wadi for Urs celebration. These trains are arranged in order to clear extra rush of pilgrims attending 47th Anniversary celebrations of Urs-e-Shareef of Great Saint Hazrath Khwaja Syed Mohammed Badesha Quadri Chisthy Yamani on July 20, 2024 at Halkatta Shareef near Wadi junction. These four trains would be unreserved trains.
These special trains would run on July 20 and July 22, 2024. These special trains would stop at Begumpet, Sanath Nagar, Hafeezpet, Lingampalli, Nagulapalli, Shankarpalli, Gullaguda, Chitgidda, Vikarabad, Godamgura, Dharur, Rukmapur, Tadur, Mantatti, Nawangdi, Kurgunta, Seram, Malkhaid, Rd and Chittapur stations in both the directions.
