Disciplinary action against five officials for manipulation in Osman Sagar FTL zone
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has requested for initiating disciplinary action against the five members of Joint Inspection Committee (including three from Irrigation department) in connection with the alleged irregularities in the demarcation of Osman Sagar Lake’s Full Tank Level (FTL) zone.
In June 2015, the then Ranga Reddy District Collector had constituted a five member committee for the verification and demarcation of structure falling within the FTL zone of Osman Sagar Lake.
During its investigation, HYDRAA found that T. Venkatesham (EE, I & CADD, I.B. Division (FAC), RRd dist., S.Bheem Prasad, EE, I & CADD, I.B. Division,Hyd, Vijay Kumar Reddy, CGM (Engg), Transmission Circle, HMWS&SB Hyd, Y. Shaker Reddy, EE, North Tank Division, Hyd and Suresh Poddar, SGDC & RDO, Rajendranagar Division, “facilitated certain illegal structures” and also misrepresented certain facts in their report submitted to RDO on September 7, 2015. The Joint Inspection Committee member falsely claimed that the properties of “ORO Sports, Ch. Anil Kumar and S. Anupama does not fall under the FTL.”
