Hyderabad police conduct Operation Kavach in Old City

HYDERABAD: Police carried out Operation Kavach in Hyderabad’s Old City on Wednesday night, intensifying checks in the Puranapool area.
As part of the operation, police stopped and inspected vehicles and questioned people moving in a suspicious manner. Several vehicles were seized during the checks.
Monitoring anti-social elements
Police said the operation was aimed at curbing anti-social elements and seizing illegal materials. Vehicles found plying without number plates were taken into custody.
Police also seized vehicles for tax violations and those registered in the names of other persons, officials added.
