One dead, another injured in hit-and-run on ORR Service Road, Narsingi
Hyderabad: A hit-and-run incident on the ORR Service Road near Vattinagulapally, Narsingi, claimed the life of one person and left another severely injured on March 1, 2025.
The deceased has been identified as Pilli Ganesh, 25, while the injured victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Eyewitnesses reported that a speeding tipper truck collided with their motorcycle before fleeing the scene.
The Gachibowli police, under Cyberabad jurisdiction, have launched an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and collecting details about the vehicle involved.
Further updates on the condition of the injured victim are awaited.
Earlier, two people died following a hit-and-run incident on the Gachibowli Outer Ring Road Service Road near Nanakaramguda on December 26, 2024.
The victims have been identified as 21-year-old engineering student Ireni Shivani and her friend, Venkataramana Reddy, who was critically injured in the crash and succumbed to his injuries after three days of treatment.
The accident occurred on the evening of December 23, 2024, when Shivani, a student at CBIT Gandipet, was returning from an alumni meeting in Nizamabad. While riding with Venkataramana Reddy back to her hostel, their motorcycle was struck from behind by a car near the Amma Vari temple at Nanakramguda Rotary.
Shivani suffered severe head trauma and injuries to her left leg and other parts of her body, while Venkataramana sustained injuries to his legs, hands, and other areas. Both were rushed to Kondapur Government Hospital, where Shivani was declared dead on arrival. Venkataramana Reddy passed away on December 26, 2024.
