Numaish organizers ensure stable internet connection for seamless shopping experience

Hyderabad: If you’ve been to Numaish, also known as Nampally Exhibition, in the past and tried to use digital payments after a purchase, you may have encountered poor data connectivity.
This year, the Exhibition Society has resolved the issue by installing a multi-service provider tower to ensure a glitch-free digital payment experience for shoppers and traders.
The 45-day extravaganza began on January 3, 2025, Friday, instead of January 1, 2025, Wednesday. Traditionally, the Numaish is kicked off on the new year’s day.
The Numaish or annual trade fair features over 2,000 stalls set up by traders from different parts of the country. Earlier, traders would blame unstable internet connection for a drop in business.
Considering the inconvenience of lakhs of visitors and thousands of traders, the organizers of the 84th All India Industrial Exhibition convinced the major telecom operators like BSNL, Airtel and others to install a common tower for the duration of the Numaish. The telecom operators are monitoring how the common tower is handling thousands of simultaneous digital transactions at the exhibition.
Haleem counter is a crowd favourite
At Numaish, you will see an array of food at various food stalls serving the customer. However, among all the food joints, Pista House stall has become a gastronomical centre for all the foodies. As haleem is usually made available during the holy month of Ramadan, the demand for this dish is extremely high.
The exhibition gates will remain open for visitors from 4 pm to 10.30 pm on weekdays while on weekends and holidays the visitors can extend their stay by half-an-hour until 11 pm. Traditionally, the Numaish will observe a ‘Ladies Day’ and a ‘Children Special Day’ for women and children.
This year, the entrance ticket price has been hiked to Rs. 50, marking an increase of Rs. 10. Earlier, the ticket price for Numaish entry was Rs. 40. Meanwhile, the managing committee is coordinating with the police to ensure safety and well being of the visitors.
