Heavy to very heavy rain likely in north Telangana until July 5

HYDERABAD: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected across north Telangana between July 3 and July 5 as the impact of a low-pressure area intensifies, according to a weather alert.
Districts marked in pink are likely to receive very heavy rainfall of around 100 mm to 120 mm at a few places each day over the next three days. Districts marked in red are expected to receive heavy rainfall of about 50 mm to 80 mm a day during the same period.
Districts marked in blue are likely to receive moderate rainfall of 15 mm to 45 mm, while the remaining districts may receive light rainfall of around 10 mm to 15 mm.
Hyderabad to see cloudy skies and evening showers
Hyderabad is expected to remain under overcast skies during the period. Light to moderate rain is likely during the evening and night over the next three days, while cloudy conditions with occasional drizzle are expected from morning to afternoon.
The weather system is expected to bring the season’s first prolonged spell of widespread rain, commonly referred to as “musuru” rains in Telangana.
