Nocterraverse brings Marvel, Halloween worlds alive at Loyola Academy
SECUNDERABAD: Loyola Academy’s Department of Multimedia and Animation has brought together Marvel-inspired creations and Halloween-themed art at Nocterraverse, a nine-day departmental fest that concludes on September 3.
The fest began on August 24 and has involved students from across the campus in models, installations, performances, photography and other creative activities. Students worked for nine days to create three-dimensional models and decorate Inigo Hall around the fest’s theme.
Fest features performances, photography and creative competitions
The main events were held on September 2 and 3. The fest was inaugurated on September 2 by Rev Fr Dr A Rex Angelo SJ, Correspondent, along with Rev Fr B Peter SJ, Vice Principal.
They addressed the students before touring Inigo Hall to view the models and installations. The inauguration was followed by a dance performance.
Students from different departments and sections participated in events including Reality Remixed, Shadows and Shutter, Chronicles of the Multiverse and Beyond the Mask. The competitions provided participants with opportunities to explore performance, photography, storytelling, character design and visual creativity.
Student models and live art draw visitors to Inigo Hall
A major attraction was the exhibition of student-created models inspired by Marvel characters and Halloween aesthetics. The installations combined modelling, design and visual presentation to create an immersive experience for visitors.
The live photobooth added an interactive element. Visitors could have themselves transformed into Marvel-inspired characters through live drawing and take home personalised artistic interpretations.
The fest also gave students an opportunity to apply creative and technical skills beyond the classroom. It brought students from different groups and departments together to develop concepts, build installations and present them to an audience.
Nocterraverse combines models, performances, photography, interactive art and themed decor in a student-led celebration of Marvel and Halloween.
