NIT Warangal students bag record ₹1.27 crore and ₹1 crore packages

WARANGAL: Students of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal have achieved record-breaking campus placement results for the 2025–26 academic year, securing the institute’s highest ever domestic packages.

Narayan Tyagi, a BTech Computer Science and Engineering student from Uttar Pradesh, received an annual offer of ₹1.27 crore from a multinational company. This marks the highest domestic salary package in NIT Warangal’s history. Similarly, Mohammed Nahil Nashwan from Khammam, a BTech Electrical and Electronics Engineering student, was offered a ₹1 crore annual package.

NIT director Prof. Bidyadhar Subudhi congratulated the achievers and said the placements reflected the growing reputation of the institute. The Centre for Career Planning and Development (CCPD), headed by Prof. P. Venkata Suresh, conducted the recruitment drive.

Global firms recruit in large numbers

Prof. Subudhi said multinational companies from across the world participated in the placements, recruiting students for roles in artificial intelligence, data science, product design, consulting, and core engineering.

Among the top recruiters were LinkedIn, Microsoft, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Nvidia, Harness, Qualcomm, Flipkart, Meesho, Oracle, Okta, Morgan Stanley, HPCL, Chevron, ExxonMobil, and Samsung.

Six students received offers worth ₹70 lakh, 34 students bagged ₹50-lakh packages, 125 secured ₹30 lakh, 163 got ₹25 lakh, and 200 others were offered packages in the ₹20-lakh range. The average annual salary for top recruiters is around ₹26 lakh, with more offers expected in the coming weeks.

‘Want to innovate for social benefit’

“I’m delighted to receive a ₹1.27-crore offer. My parents ,my father is an engineer and my mother a chemistry teacher,encouraged me to pursue computer science. I want to work on innovations that help society and make technology more accessible,” said Narayan Tyagi, who hails from Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

‘Aspire to start my own company’

“I’m very happy to have been offered ₹1 crore. My goal is to keep learning new things and face life’s challenges confidently. My father, Nazir, is an accountant, and my mother, Nikhath Shashin, is a homemaker. I wish to start my own company one day and provide jobs to fellow students,” said Mohammed Nahil Nashwan from Khammam.
