Ninth grader abuses class 2 girl in Uppal school; Teen ends life after sexual assault in Secunderabad

Hyderabad: A ninth-class boy allegedly assaulted a second-class girl at Little Flower School in Uppal. This shocking incident came to light on August 2, 2024 (Friday).
The school’s principal confirmed the incident. He stated that the boy had been expelled, and both parents had been notified.
According to the principal, the girl reported the misconduct to school authorities. Upon receiving the complaint, immediate action was taken.
Following the incident that outraged many, leaders from student organisations like AISF and SFI organised a protest in front of the school. They demanded swift action from the education department, calling for legal action against the school management and their subsequent arrest.
After the initial attempts by the authorities to cover up the incident, the protests gained momentum. Members of the BJP and Congress parties, along with the public, united in calling for accountability.
The girl’s parents have filed a police complaint, which has been registered and is currently under investigation.
In another incident on August 2, 2024 (Friday), a 16-year-old student in class 9 in Husnabad, Siddipet district, took her own life after reportedly being sexually assaulted by a young man in Balaji Nagar, Secunderabad.
According to the reports, the girl had recently visited her home in Balaji Nagar, which falls under the Jawahar Nagar Police Station limits of Kapra Mandal, and ended her life at midnight by hanging. The accused is alleged to have exploited the girl under the guise of love.
The accused has been identified as Shiva Kumar from the same neighborhood.
The Jawahar Nagar police registered a case and launched an investigation based on a complaint from the girl’s family. Subsequently, the accused, Shiva Kumar was taken into custody and questioned by the police.
