Niloufer, Haiku to Raja Deluxe, Banjara Hills outlets found using expired products

Banjara Hills : Continuing its spree of inspections by the Commissionerate of Food Safety, Telangana, its Task force team inspected multiple restaurants in the upscale locality of Banjara Hills and found that expired products are being used in these outlets.
As per the official information, the task force team conducted these inspections on September 2, 2024 and the reports regarding these violations were released through their official social media account on Tuesday.
It’s mentioned that during the inspections, the task force team found expired cheese amounting to half a kg, kashmiri paprika powder and roasted peanuts weighing 5 kgs in its kitchen.
Further, unlabelled food articles such as sugar syrup, spices were also found inside the refrigirator.
Further, the cakes found in the display for sale were also found unlabelled.
Meanwhile, the FSSAI license true copy was displayed at the premises and the outlet is also maintaining records of the pest control and medical fitness certificates were also available with the FBO.

Veg and non-veg food stored together
In an another inspection at the Raja Deluxe Restaurant in Banjara Hills, the task force team has found veg and non-veg food articles stored in a same refrigerator, while the doors and windows were not closely fitted with insect proof screens, the flood was also found slippery and drains were stagnated with water. And the synthetic food colors found in the kitchen, which were discarded.
Further, the team also found unhygienic conditions where the outlet was storing raw meat in the refrigerator and unlabelled food articles were also found in the refrigerator.

Another inspection happened at Haiku Restaurant in Banjara Hills, where several expired products, including tamarind, cumin seeds, black sesame, red lotus flour and others were found. Further, food articles were not labeled found in the refrigerators and unhygienic kitchen with water stagnation and food wasted was also sighted by the Task force team.
