Financial District road construction Hyderabad Mail report

Hyderabad: A newly constructed road from Mubashir Circle to Anvaya Conventions Road, opposite Flipside Adventure Park in the Financial District, has been completed, following extensive coverage by Hyderabad Mail.

The road, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Narasingi Municipal Corporation, had been in a severely damaged state, causing significant problems for residents, commuters, and IT workers in the area. The Hyderabad Mail’s report on May 27, 2024, highlighted the dangerous potholes and heavy traffic that plagued the road, making it challenging for vehicles to navigate and leading to numerous traffic jams.

Resident Srikanth Reddy (@Srikanth_sevan), an engineer at Microchips, expressed his gratitude on social media. He tweeted, “Finally, a fresh BT patch is laid. Thanks to everyone for your follow-up.”

Another citizen, Koushik (@sai_koushika), acknowledged the impact of public advocacy and tagged Hyderabad Mail, VP Gautham IAS, and Narsingi Municipality official accounts. He said, “Impact by voicing out for solutions on civic issues and thanked Hyderabad Mail for showcasing the issues which are adding an impact for solutions.”

Prior to the recent repair work, the road had been plagued with numerous issues. Poorly lit streetlights further compounded the danger, increasing the risk of accidents. The damaged road had been causing immense traffic congestion, with IT employees, including Srikanth Reddy, experiencing severe delays during their commutes. Srikanth reported that the road’s condition had worsened over the past few months, and driving on it, especially during the rainy season, had become increasingly difficult.

In response to the complaints and media coverage, the Narasingi Municipal Corporation implemented interim measures to repair the road. However, concerns remained about the durability of these repairs. Srikanth Reddy urged officials to implement a permanent solution to ensure safe and smooth travel for the residents of Hyderabad and Nanakramguda, especially with the upcoming rainy season.
