Nerella Sharada appointed Telangana Women’s Commission chairperson
HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has appointed Nerella Sharada as chairperson of the Telangana State Commission for Women with immediate effect.
The General Administration (General, L&C) Department issued GO Rt.No.1290 on September 3, 2026, appointing Sharada under Section 5 of the Telangana Women’s Commission Act, 1998, read with sub-section 3 of Section 6.
The order said Sharada’s appointment was made by the government in exercise of the powers conferred under the Act. The other terms and conditions of her appointment will be issued separately by the Department for Women, Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens.
