Hyderabad: Trumpet-shaped Neopolis interchange near Kokapet set for inauguration

Hyderabad: The trumpet-shaped interchange formally nicknamed as Trumpet Junction at Neopolis Layout, Kokapet is ready for inauguration, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) said.
The agency is responsible for the construction of the prestigious project, and it was built with a cost of Rs. 60 crore. The Neopolis interchange is expected to significantly decongest traffic and improve connectivity in the region.
The Trumpet Junction will connect the traffic coming from Neopolis Layout, Movie Towers and other neighbourhoods in Kokapet and travelling towards Gachibowli. The interchange will eliminate the need for the motorists coming from Neopolis to take the Outer Ring Road (ORR), allowing them to use the interchange to reach their destinations. Additionally, the interchange will cut down the travel time for commuters as it provides seamless connectivity.
Meanwhile, the HMDA has proposed to build three more interchanges on the Outer Ring Road. These interchanges or exits will come up at Koheda, Padamati Saiguda and Janwada villages and will ensure seamless connectivity with the Regional Ring Road.
According to details, the Padamati Saiguda exit would come up between Keesara (Exit No.8) and Ghatkesar (Exit No. 9), Pedda Amberpet (Exit No.11) and Bongloor (Exit No.12) and the Janwada exit between Neopolis (Exit No. 1A) and Kollur (Exit No.2).
Currently, the ORR is dotted with a total of 25 interchanges. Initially, 19 interchanges were developed at Kollur, Patancheru, Sultanpur, Dundigal, Medchal, Shamirpet, Keesara, Ghatkesar, Taramatipet, Pedda Amberpet, Bongloor, Raviryal, Tukkuguda, Pedda Golkonda, Shamshabad, Rajendranagar, TSPA, Kokapet and Nanakramguda. Later, three more exits at Mallampet, Narsingi and Neopolis were added.
