Brutal attack: Neighbor assaults pet owner, his family, and their pet in Madhura Nagar

Pet Dog Attack In Madhura Nagar

HYDERABAD/MADHURA NAGAR: In a fit of rage and seeking revenge, a horrific incident took place in Madhuranagar-Rahmatnagar, near Ameerpet in Hyderabad, neighbor named Dhanunjaya and his friends brutally attacked a dog and it’s owner Srinath in front of their house.

The CCTV footage related to this incident has gone viral on social media. During a conversation with Hyderabad Mail, Madhura Nagar police confirmed that the accused have been taken into custody.

On the same day of the incident N. Swapna, Wife of Srinath  filed a case at Madhura Nagar Police Station with FIR number Cr 352/2024. According to report, the incident took place between 08:30 and 09:00 on May 8th near Bangarumaisamma temple, Rehmath Nagar, Yousufguda, Hyderabad. Srinath, a Government employee, was preparing to cast a postal ballot when their pet dog went outside and approached neighbors constructing a new house. The neighbors, a couple, were near their vehicle when the dog went to them. Srinath, owner of the dog quickly intervened and retrieved the dog.

Neighbors accused him of inciting dog on them, verbally and physically assaulted Srinath. When Srinath’s son tried to intervene them, he was also attacked. The complainant, Swapna herself also slapped and verbally abused. Husband injured neck and hand, son injured leg and neck. The neighbors even threatened to kill them. The complainant requests appropriate legal action be taken in response to this incident.

Brutal Retaliation: Attack Motivated by Revenge

On May 14, approx. at 7:15 PM Srinath taken his dog for a walk. While he stood in front of Dhanunjaya’s house, Srinath was attacked by Dhanunjaya and four others. Dhanunjaya was accused of a crime under Cr.no 352/2024. They attempted to harm Srinath and his pet dog in retaliation for a previous incident under the same crime.

They viciously attacked Srinath and his pet dog using 2 iron rods, 2 large wooden bamboo sticks. His wife N. Swapna and his mother N. Rajeswari tried to intervene but were also brutally attacked. As a result, Srinath sustained severe bleeding injuries to his head, right hand, and legs, Srinath’s wife Swapna suffered severe bleeding injuries to her head, left hand, and legs, and his pet dog suffered a serious head injury, rendering it unconscious.

Following this incident, Srinath’s brother, Sri Nimmaturi Madhu S/o Late Venkataiah  filed FIR on May 14. Madhu filed FIR on five persons named Lachireddy Dhanunjaya, Bilan Sai Kumar, Bhagantri Praveen Kumar, Lachireddy Gowri Shanker, and Srireddy Rambabu.
