Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad to host Navroze Contractor photo exhibition Nov 21–Dec 2
Hyderabad: A unique exhibition, “Photography Strictly Prohibited,” will open its doors at the Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad, Road no 3, Banjara Hills, on November 20, 2024, at 6.30 p.m. This retrospective showcases the work of renowned cinematographer and still photographer Navroze Contractor.
Curated by Anuj Ambalal, Himanshu Panchal, and Sanjiv Shah, the exhibition will feature a selection of over 20,000 photographs captured by Navroze Contractor over six decades. From candid moments to artistic compositions, the photographs offer a personal and intimate look at the world through Navroze Contractor’s lens.
Sanjiv Shah, a close friend of Navroze Contractor, shared insights into the photographer’s life and work, “Navroze rarely stepped out without a camera, capturing moments of everyday life with a unique perspective. His photographs are not just images; they are reflections of his compassionate nature and his deep connection with people.”
The exhibition, which runs from November 21 to December 2, 2024, is open to the public free of charge, with timings from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can immerse themselves in Navroze Contractor’s world and experience his artistry firsthand.
