Unni Mukundan to play Modi in new biopic ‘Maa Vande’
HYDERABAD: On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, greetings poured in from political leaders and celebrities. Meanwhile, a new biopic on Modi was announced under the title Maa Vande. The makers also released a poster.
South Indian technicians are working on this project. Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan will play Modi, while Telugu director C H Kranthi Kumar is directing the film. Music is being composed by Ravi Basrur, who earlier worked on KGF. Cinematography is by Senthil Kumar, who has been associated with director S S Rajamouli’s films.
A pre-look poster has been released carrying the line: “A mother’s determination is greater than many struggles.” The film appears to be based on a mother–son sentiment. It is planned as a pan-India release and may hit theatres next year.
In 2019, another biopic titled PM Narendra Modi was released. This will be the second biopic on the prime minister.
