Narayanpet RDO Ramachandra Naik caught taking bribe
NARAYANPET: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials conducted a surprise raid on the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) office in Narayanpet district headquarters.
The officials caught RDO Ramachandra Naik red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹25,000 from an individual. The trap was laid following a complaint alleging that the officer had demanded money to clear official work.
Complaint leads to trap, officer caught accepting cash
ACB officials verified the complaint before setting up the trap. The complainant approached the agency after repeated demands for a bribe, officials said.
During the operation, the accused officer accepted the cash and was immediately apprehended by the ACB team.
Searches conducted at residence and office premises
Following the arrest, ACB teams conducted simultaneous searches at the officer’s residence and office to gather further evidence.
Officials said the accused will be produced before a court after completion of formal procedures. A case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
