Fire on third floor of Nampally residential building; 23 rescued safely
HYDERABAD: A fire broke out on the third floor of a residential building in Red Hills, Nampally, on Monday, reportedly due to a short circuit.
Dense smoke engulfed the building, prompting residents and locals to alert emergency services. Fire personnel reached the spot promptly and began containment operations.
All residents evacuated without injuries
Officials said all 23 residents in the building were rescued safely. No casualties were reported.
Firefighters managed to control the blaze before it spread to other floors. The situation is now under control, authorities added.
Preliminary findings indicate an electrical short circuit as the likely cause. Further investigation is underway.
