Ibomma Ravi In Custody

HYDERABAD: A Nampally court on Tuesday denied bail to Imandi Ravi, operator of the iBOMMA website, in five cases registered against him by the Cyber Crime Police Station.

Police arrested Ravi on charges of streaming pirated films through the iBOMMA platform, allegedly causing revenue loss to the film industry. Multiple cases were booked against him in this connection.

Bail plea rejected in five cases

Ravi filed petitions seeking bail in all five cases, arguing for relief in each matter. However, the court rejected the pleas, citing the prosecution’s objections.

Prosecution cites flight risk

Opposing bail, government counsel told the court that Ravi holds foreign citizenship and could flee the country if released. Accepting the prosecution’s arguments, the court dismissed all bail petitions.
